Privacy

This site belongs to Edward Katzin, the author of Feeling Is the Work. Questions go to info@feelingisthework.com.

Your answers to the two questions

Stored with your answers: the first line you were shown, what you chose, your age band and reason if you gave them, and the date. Not stored with them: your name, email, IP address or device. The reason box is free text, so please leave names out of it. Only the author reads the answers. They are kept for 12 months from the day you answer, or until the book’s launch is fully under way if that is later, and then deleted.

Your email, if you leave it

If you ask to hear when the book is out, your address is stored with the date, which form you used, and whether you ticked “happy to answer a few more questions.” It is kept apart from your answers, so it does not link to anything you chose or wrote. It is used only for news about this book and is never sold or shared. To be removed, write to info@feelingisthework.com.

Google Analytics

With your permission, the site uses Google Analytics 4. It sets two cookies (_ga and _ga_<id>, kept for up to two years) and records the pages you view, how you arrived, roughly where you are (city level), your device and browser, how far you scroll, which first line you were shown, and the choices you make in the two questions. The words you type are never sent, and neither is the id that links your two answers. Accepting also allows Google signals, which adds age range and interests for people signed in to a Google account that allows it. The site runs no ads, and ad personalization stays off.

Until you choose, and if you say no, no analytics cookies are set. Google’s tag still sends page measurements without cookies, which Google uses for basic counts and to estimate the rest; like any web request, these carry your IP address and browser. Saying no later deletes the cookies.

Google's own terms apply: how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Cloudflare

Cloudflare hosts the site and protects it from attacks. Its Web Analytics counts page views and loading speed without cookies and without identifying you.
